About the Role

The Boiler Operator will operate and maintain boiler equipment and assist during trenchless sewer and storm line rehabilitation projects. Flexibility to travel to project sites is essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety standards and promote a safety culture.
• Operate sewer equipment, generators, and power tools; perform equipment inspections and maintenance.
• Assist with site preparation, line installation, and cleanup.
• Perform boiler pre-fire steps, monitor gauges, and ensure proper curing processes.
• Conduct confined space work safely, including lowering and retrieving crew members.
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Requirements

• Proficient in driving boiler trucks/trailer.
• Experience in construction, preferably with water or sewer utilities.
• Ability to work in confined spaces and adverse weather.
• Ability to work independently, read instructions, and perform calculations.
• Willingness to travel regularly.

Desired Skills/Qualifications

• Confined Space, WHMIS, Fall Protection certifications.
• Valid driver’s license and additional training as required.

Languages

Must communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
