ECC has an opportunity due to growth for a full-time Project Manager to join our team on-site in Port Hope, Ontario. This is a large environmental remediation project, and candidates should have experience with environmental or civil construction projects.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Planning and directing activities of designated projects to ensure goals are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and funding.
- Reviewing project proposals or plans to determine timelines, funding limitations, procedures, staffing requirements, and resource allocation.
- Establishing work plans and staffing for each project phase.
- Arranging recruitment or assignment of project personnel.
- Conferencing with project staff to outline work plans and assign duties, responsibilities, and authority scope.
- Directing and coordinating project personnel activities to ensure progress on schedule and within budget.
- Reviewing status reports and modifying schedules or plans as needed.
- Preparing project reports for management, clients, or others.
- Providing technical advice and resolving problems with project personnel.
- Coordinating project activities with government regulatory agencies.
- Managing supervisory responsibilities per organizational policies and applicable laws.
- Promoting a shared vision among staff, clients, and stakeholders while maintaining trust and credibility.
- Performing additional responsibilities, tasks, and deliverables as assigned.
Requirements:
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Effective presentation skills and ability to respond to questions from managers, clients, and customers.
