In this role you will provide Electronic Warfare Support to the EW (Electronic Warfare) Equipment Management Team.

Tasks will include:

  • Maintain electronic records and physical stores of EW equipment held for the primary purpose of the obsolescence management of CA (Canadian Army) EW assets, and in support of EW capability development.
  • Maintain knowledge of current and future technological developments in the EW space to advise equipment delivery planning cycles and other EW-related planning activities.
  • Will use knowledge of Python, CISCO device configuration, and Joint Interface Control Document open standard.
  • Management of authorized EW equipment distribution.
  • Ensure fielded EW baseline is maintained.
  • Ensure that configurable items (CIs) are per specs and analyzing failure rates and/or engineering changes.
  • Development and maintenance of EW technical publications, including Engineering schematics/diagrams, parts lists, engineering changes data, test & evaluation.
  • Provide system specialist user audits and feedback.
  • Support testing and evaluation.
  • Procurement support by providing information to identify terms & conditions (packaging marking, security, quality assurance etc.), SOWs, specifications, data item descriptions, and TDP for OEM.
  • Provide advice to procurement planning in support to EW obsolescence management.
  • Assist with the training and development when onboarding new EW support staff at DLCSPM through informal discussion regarding the state of EW technology and their experiences supporting CA EW capabilities.
  • Support EW Change Management process through configuration of EW Baseline and integration of new devices and technologies to EW systems and networks.
  • Advise EW obsolescence management planning and execution as EW network and software SME.
  • Configuration of Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Configuration Items (ISR CIs) within the HQ Domain and MD.
  • Manage the map solution for the Black Bird NextGen system using the Map Spark service on an Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) standard map server.
  • Manage and maintain NCR EW Test Network.
  • Developing, designing, and maintaining test beds, and test procedures; and
  • Fulfil the roles and duties of ISTAR/Geo Scrum master for the MD. (Mobile Domain)
Qualifications
  • Education required: must have a College Diploma in Electronics, Computer Technology or a relevant technical field required to support LCSS (Land Command Support System) or Bachelor of Science or a suitable technical field or demonstrated qualification level of QL6A or QL6B (in military) and demonstrated minimum rank of “Warrant Officer” in the Canadian Forces.
  • Must have experience in the preparation of technical documents including requirements, specification, checklists, bulletins, reports, proposals, equipment disposal plans etc.
  • Ideal candidates will have at least 4 years of experience in the last 6 years performing at least 6 of the following tasks
    • Experience using a recognized Process Framework or using an LCMM handbook.
    • Experience working on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software (such as SAP) for equipment cataloguing.
    • Experience working on ERP for maintaining and developing checklists.
    • Experience working on ERP for coordinating equipment distribution.
    • Evaluating and providing solutions to deficiencies in Technical Failure Reports and Unsatisfactory Condition Reports.
    • Analyzing Statements of Operational Requirements.
    • Reviewing Technical Data Packages.
Additional Information
  • Initial contract period: ASAP to March 2026 with strong possibility of extension.
  • Must hold a valid Secret clearance with PSPC for this contract.
  • Work needs to be done on-site on a full-time basis. (as per client requirement)
