Position: Planning Analyst

The Planning Analyst is responsible for ensuring the proper allocation of merchandise based on brand, sales, inventory trends, and forecasts. This includes managing RTVs (Return to Vendor), consolidations, and supporting the creation and use of analytical information to drive inventory actions and profitability.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

1. Build effective partnerships with internal contacts such as buyers, stores, and supply chain teams.
2. Execute accurate and timely allocations aligned with store matrices, sales plans, and marketing initiatives.
3. Monitor and execute RTVs to ensure timely and effective completion.
4. Manage consolidations and replenishment strategies to maximize sell-through across all channels and locations.
5. Analyze performance data and provide recommendations to improve full-price sell-through and profit margins.
6. Share analytical insights, commentary, and reports to support buying, planning, and cross-functional inventory decisions.
7. Participate in planning and forecasting to identify inventory opportunities.
8. Assist in preparing recode and markdown proposals.
9. Engage with Buying and Store teams to develop understanding through communication and merchandise discussions.
10. Assist in developing processes, systems, and reports.
11. Participate in and champion relevant projects.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate:

1. Holds a post-secondary degree in a related field or has equivalent experience.
2. Has 2+ years of successful experience in merchandise planning or related roles.
3. Possesses excellent financial acumen and strong analytical skills.
4. Demonstrates influencing skills with the ability to get things done.
5. Has excellent interpersonal skills.
6. Is a confident and effective communicator, both written and verbal.
7. Is adaptable and comfortable with ambiguity and change.
8. Is highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiar with ERP and Merchandise Planning systems.
9. Is passionate about fashion and luxury retail.
