Rogers Communications is seeking an IT Solution Delivery Manager to lead the planning and delivery of projects supporting the Rogers Business unit. Reporting to a Sr. Mgr, Solution Delivery within Business IT, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of solutions that meet key business needs.
What you will do :
- Collaborate with Rogers Business teams including Business Systems, Sales, Marketing, Customer Service Operations, and Planning to manage scope within budget and timeline constraints, developing appropriate IT solutions and realistic delivery plans. Engage in trade-off discussions and explore the 'art of the possible'.
- Coordinate with IT Demand Management and assemble project teams from Architecture, Infrastructure, Information Security, PMO, Application Development (both waterfall and agile), Testing, and Operations for successful project delivery.
- Represent business stakeholders in IT discussions and vice versa.
- Contribute to solution design through JAD sessions and solution reviews.
- Play the roles of Project Manager and/or Business Analyst depending on resource availability.
- Manage team efforts to resolve issues and conflicts, escalating to senior management when necessary.
- Align projects with business and IT roadmaps.
- Promote quality, innovation, excellent customer experience, teamwork, and open communication regarding issues and opportunities.
- Build trusted relationships with business partners and team members across the organization.
What you have :
- Experience in a corporate IT environment, preferably within telecommunications and in a B2B context.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, capable of translating technology issues into business terms and explaining business concepts to technical audiences at all levels.
- Leadership and collaboration skills including teamwork, organization, adaptability, influence without authority, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
- A strong desire and ability to learn Rogers Business products, operations, and underlying IT requirements.
- A consultative mindset rather than an order-taker approach.
- Experience in project planning, cost estimation, and spend forecasting.
- Familiarity with SDLC methodologies including Waterfall and Agile.
- Ability to write and evaluate IT requirements for quality and completeness.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience managing vendors, participating in RFPs, and drafting/reviewing SOWs.
- Understanding of Rogers’ business and IT practices is an asset.
- Background in software delivery, project management, or business analysis, with a Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field. Certifications like PMP, CBAP, or Agile are advantageous.
