A Day in the Life: Clinical Specialist Neuromod

A Day in the life:

  • Conducts on-site education and/or consulting.
  • Supports field personnel in providing the best possible outcomes and service for Medtronic customers.
  • Partners with sales colleagues to develop and execute sales plans within one or more business units.
  • Participates in conventions, forums, and meetings to increase product awareness.
  • Works closely with Clinical Lead, Clinical Management, and Regional Sales team to provide customer case and sales support.
  • Identifies and facilitates execution of growth opportunities with Sales and Clinical Support Team.
  • Serves as a technical resource to support sales of specific medical products or solutions.
  • Responsible for reporting complaints and Adverse Drug Reactions (ADR).
  • Provides leadership in establishing, implementing, and promoting clinical education activities, including assessment, curriculum planning, communication, and skills development.
  • Develops and executes clinical education programs to enhance user competencies.
  • Builds relationships with strategic partners, training centers, and opinion leaders.
  • Provides training for new employees on products, technology, and materials.
  • Assists in developing objectives and programs for marketing and selling products.
  • Offers nursing and medical expertise in developing clinical reports, journal articles, and case reports.
  • Plans and coordinates educational workshops and events, maintaining contact with customers to assess needs.
  • Leads efforts to secure speaking engagements at key conferences.
  • Collaborates with other departments to establish priorities for company direction, product development, and customer satisfaction.
  • Documents all clinical support and education activities as per reporting requirements.
  • Conducts Monthly Business Reviews with RSM & SPM.

Qualifications

Knowledge and Experience: Practical knowledge typically gained through education and experience. Requires a Baccalaureate degree or equivalent plus relevant experience.

Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED, Associate or Bachelor’s degree, or current enrollment in a relevant certificate program.

Job Experience: Varies based on education level, from 2 to 6 years in healthcare or engineering fields, including experience in sales or marketing preferred.

Desired Qualifications

Background in Nursing Education, healthcare sales/marketing experience, knowledge of healthcare systems, medical device experience, and various skills in education, communication, and organization.

Physical Job Requirements

Travel up to 50-60%, on-call duties, working in assigned territory, and working weekends/holidays as needed. Reasonable accommodations available for disabilities.
