Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Accountant located in Ontario, CA. The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing and analyzing financial statements, conducting audits, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Additional tasks include budgeting, forecasting, managing accounts payable and receivable, and assisting with financial planning. Daily tasks will also involve reconciling accounts, preparing tax returns, and providing financial reports to management. The role involves working with management to implement updates, develop better SOPs for departments, entry of vendor invoices and credit card charges, and overseeing all financial-related tasks.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, especially double entry accounting practices
• Proficiency in accounting software, especially ERP systems like MAS90, and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a family-based small business environment
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, setting up GL accounts, and restructuring a distribution company
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Relevant accounting certification (CPA, CMA) is a plus
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
