Job Title : Staff Accountant, Assurance and Advisory.

Remote (Candidate needs to be located in Ontario)

Full-time, Permanent.

Our client, a public accounting firm, is looking for a Staff Accountant, Assurance and Advisory.

Main responsibilities :

1. Assist in the preparation of financial statements and relevant supporting schedules.
2. Provide accurate, timely, and relevant recording, reporting, and analysis of financial information.
3. Complete procedures for general accounting functions such as bank reconciliations, statistical and account analysis, inventory observations, and depreciation schedule updates.
4. Prepare and review personal and corporate tax returns.
5. Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
6. Manage multiple client requests efficiently and in a timely manner.

Qualifications :

• Public accounting experience is required.
• Experience with Audit and Assurance is required.
• CPA Designation or at least CFE completion.
• Travel to Northern Canada may be required for this role.
• Thorough knowledge of general ledger accounting and account reconciliation.
• Strong organizational skills to handle multiple projects with conflicting deadlines.
• Proficiency with MS Office, CaseWare, and tax return software.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in teams.
