The incumbent will oversee all aspects of the main NYU.edu website, ensuring it remains current, engaging, aligns with university goals, and meets evolving user needs. Responsibilities include coordinating with IT partners for technical updates, managing content and user feedback, leading website redesign projects, and supervising a team of professionals. Prior relevant experience is essential.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, with significant experience in web design, development, or related fields.
Bachelor's or Master's in human-computer interaction, media communications, computer science, or related areas.
At least 5 years managing teams or vendors, designing websites, understanding web coding, CMS platforms, accessibility standards, and collaborating with web professionals. Experience in training development, documentation, and digital copywriting is also required.
Over 5 years in branding, marketing communications, higher education, or related sectors. Experience with vendor RFPs, human development theories, WCAG 2.0+ AA compliance, and tools like Adobe Experience Manager, Google Analytics, and Figma.
Strong project management, communication, training, and analytical skills. Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and CMS platforms is necessary. Ability to lead teams, manage projects from start to finish, and adapt to new technologies is essential.
Experience with personalized web portals, data integration, complex workflows, and cross-functional team collaboration. Ability to analyze data, solve problems creatively, and lead effectively in a bureaucratic environment is highly valued.
