Job description

The Electrician is responsible for performing a variety of electrical tasks safely, including installing, troubleshooting, maintaining, testing, repairing, and installation in large commercial projects. Schedule: Monday - Friday 3:30pm - 11:00pm

Pay: $22.00-$27.00/hr 10% shift differential

Essential Functions:

• Inspects, repairs, installs, modifies, and maintains electrical systems, circuits, and equipment.
• Diagnoses malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
• Connects wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
• Inspects electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, ensuring compliance with codes.
• Advises management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
• Reads, interprets, and works from diagrams, blueprints, sketches, repair manuals, and schematics.
• Demonstrates thorough knowledge of National Electrical Codes.
• Possesses knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials used in electrical trade.
• Must be safety conscious and work safely within a team-oriented environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Willingness to work at various heights, including tasks at different elevations for extended periods.
• Regular ladder climbing, safely ascending and descending ladders of various sizes and types.
• Proficiency in operating lifts such as scissor lifts and boom lifts to reach higher areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma / GED
• 3-5 years of commercial or industrial electrical maintenance experience
• Knowledge of building maintenance procedures and safety precautions
• Skill in using hand and power tools
• Must be authorized to work in the US
