Position Overview:

Tamatta Mining & Construction is recruiting for an esteemed client seeking dedicated individuals for an immediate opening as an Electrician at a fly-in camp in Terrace, British Columbia. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a stunning environment while contributing to projects in the mining and construction industry.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electrical components.
• Test circuits and connections using electrical test equipment.
• Inspect equipment and ensure proper maintenance and repairs are completed within timelines and budget.
• Order electrical parts as needed.
• Prepare and clean up the site, including rubbish removal.
• Ensure work complies with building code regulations related to electrical assembly and repairs.
• Assist in completing documentation to ensure cost-effectiveness and proper budget allocation.
• Provide quality workmanship aligned with industry standards and stakeholder expectations.
• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Participate in daily toolbox meetings and support monthly site inspections.
• Follow safe work practices and procedures.
• Report unsafe practices, incidents, and accidents immediately.
• Act as a high-performing team member.

Required Knowledge & Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years experience as a construction field electrician in a camp environment.
• Certified Journeyman Electrician (Red Seal) required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to work on a rotation schedule.
• Ability to work independently and complete daily tasks as scheduled.
• Physically capable of lifting at least 50 lbs.
• Able to walk and stand for long periods and perform physical labor.
• Maintain high performance over 10-12 hour shifts.
