About The Position

The Accounting Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate records of accounts payable and receivable, processing invoices and payments, and supporting annual audits. Additional duties may include preparing departmental reports and cost projections.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, journals, receipts, and invoices.
  2. Process incoming payments via check, credit card, and EFT.
  3. Reconcile statements and support audit preparations.
  4. Organize and prioritize invoice processing, including ACH and check payments.
  5. Enter expense reports and all invoice data, including purchase order and job cost information.
  6. Coordinate with the Purchasing Department on purchase order issues.
  7. Print and match checks with invoice copies, post payment information, and file vendor documents.
  8. Adhere to company policies, safety rules, and procedures.
  9. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; degree in accounting preferred.
  • 2-4 years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Oracle accounting software.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Strong interpersonal and team skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
