Job Title: Accounting & Tax Operations Manager

At Mogul CPA, we specialize in providing exceptional accounting and tax services to real estate developers, property managers, and investors located in Canada. By leveraging skilled offshore staff and advanced technology, we deliver cost-effective, high-quality solutions.

Role Overview:

We’re seeking a driven and experienced professional to oversee our offshore accounting team, ensure the accuracy and compliance of their work, and provide expert tax advice to our clients.

The founder has led all fulfillment to date — but with our client base growing rapidly, I’m now looking to transition out of day-to-day fulfillment to focus on sales and firm growth. That’s why we’re hiring a strong operations leader to step in.

This is a part-time, remote position (15–20 hours per week) with the potential to scale to full-time as we grow.

The Accounting & Tax Operations Manager will oversee and collaborate with our talented offshore team to ensure all accounting and tax tasks are completed with precision. In this leadership role, you’ll act as the key liaison between the offshore team and clients, reviewing deliverables, addressing client needs, and ensuring adherence to Canadian tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the performance of offshore accounting staff, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all tasks.
  • Review financial statements, reconciliations, tax returns, and other deliverables for accuracy and compliance.
  • Provide expert tax advice to clients, ensuring adherence to Canadian tax laws and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients.
  • Collaborate with offshore staff to implement and improve processes, ensuring efficiency and quality.
  • Conduct regular quality assurance checks and provide training or feedback to the offshore team as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in accounting and tax.
  • Proven experience managing teams, with an ability to guide and mentor staff effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience working with offshore teams is a plus.

Availability requirements:

  • Must be available at least 15–20 hours per week
  • Must be able to respond to client and team queries during standard business hours (Eastern or your local time zone)
  • Flexibility in working hours is welcome, but responsiveness is key
