WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

The Enterprise Architecture team is undertaking multiple complex enterprise-wide initiatives as part of RBC’s ongoing plan to improve technology management and architectural governance across the organization. In this role, you will be responsible for strategically planning and managing the successful implementation of these initiatives. You will coordinate, develop, lead, communicate, and execute activities to ensure objectives are accomplished on time.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Process payroll for three payroll frequencies (Bi-weekly, Monthly, and Semi-monthly) at Tier 3 (highest & most complex) problem resolution. Investigate and develop resolutions independently and determine when to collaborate with specialty HR areas.
  • Utilize multiple sources, including experience, product knowledge, and reference materials, to resolve issues.
  • Issue Record of Employment forms using ROE Web and SAP, and action requests from Service Canada.
  • Run and review daily audit reports.
  • Review other payroll reports for accuracy and ensure information is correctly updated in WorkDay & SAP.
  • Document processes, create, and update job aids to maintain clear instructions.
  • Manage ServiceNow case management effectively and efficiently.
  • Deliver a positive employee experience through handling inquiries and processes.
  • Perform testing and year-end duties related to AIP and BSR.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

Must have:

  • University Degree or Professional payroll or HR qualifications.
  • Customer/employee experience mindset and leadership by example.
  • Strong organizational skills, flexibility, and effective prioritization.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a team environment.
  • Ability to build influence and collaborate across functions and levels within RBC. Demonstrates a growth mindset to innovate and improve processes.

Nice-to-have:

  • Extensive experience with employee lifecycle and payroll management in large organizations.
  • Experience with WorkDay and SAP, along with excellent Microsoft Office skills.
  • Solid understanding of payroll/tax principles and operations.
  • Knowledge of internal controls and payroll accounting.
