Main Tasks:

  • Conduct pre-shipment, in-process, and final inspections to verify compliance with quality standards.
  • Ensure product and material performance is adequately monitored and where problems occur, support appropriate and timely corrective actions as required
  • Identify and document non-conformances, initiating NCR (Non-Conformance Reports) as required
  • Work closely with Production Personnel in work cells assisting with inspection processes and verification
  • Monitor, communicate and ultimately improve supplier quality performance: including the application of relevant measurement controls, PPAP development, RoHS and REACH compliance, supplier corrective action, First Article Inspection (FAI) and program Safe Launch activities
  • Participate in internal problem-solving activities to eliminate recurrence of non‐conformances
  • Work with Purchasing and Production to evaluate/audit and approve new suppliers and/or processes as part of a New Product Introduction (NPI) process and/or full production products
  • Participate in the Production Pilot Run (PPR) for all product launch activities
  • Improve process capability for both internal and external processes
  • Lead the gauge calibration process to ensure accuracy of the measurement system
  • Perform all Robot end of line inspection based on demand

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Quality role
  • ASQ Certification preferred
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, work well with diverse groups of people and be able to function independently of direct supervision
  • Calibration experience as asset
  • Successfully complete pre-employment onboarding requirements that may include criminal/civil background checks

Bonus:

  • Knowledge of various quality system methodologies 8D, Six Sigma, FMEA, PPAP, etc
  • Six Sigma Green Belt an asset
  • Understanding of project management principles
  • Intimate knowledge of ISO Standards
