The Technology Services Division is undergoing a transformation, focusing on four key priorities:

In this role, as Senior Enterprise Solutions Technical Lead under the capacity of Senior Solution Architect, you will report to the Manager of Enterprise Solution Architecture and Business Transformation. You will be part of the Architecture and Standards team, providing oversight and leading solution architecture design for critical projects and programs.

Your initial focus will be on strategy and planning for the City’s public digital channels, involving technologies like Salesforce, Microsoft Power Platform, and City web frameworks, with a future-oriented approach to evolving business needs.

Responsibilities include solution analysis, formulation, coordination, and advising leadership on strategic and operational programs. You will provide innovative solutions, analyze complex priorities, and support pragmatic, objective decision-making.

You will provide hands-on expertise in:

  • Technical leadership and guidance on architectural capabilities, best practices, and implementation strategies.
  • Ensuring architecture aligns with business strategy, roadmaps, and governance policies.
  • Making architectural decisions to ensure seamless user experiences aligned with program design.
  • Designing scalable, sustainable solutions aligned with business objectives and industry standards.
  • Hands-on development of business solutions architecture, including artifacts, presentations, and specifications.
  • Deep knowledge of Salesforce platform features, architecture, and system integration.

Partnership, Vendor, & Relationship Management:

  • Develop positive relationships within the Technology Services and with clients and partners.
  • Foster collaboration and act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership.
  • Manage external partner relationships and large contracts for transformation programs.

Culture and Team Leadership:

  • Cultivate unity and focus on customer service excellence.
  • Build high-performance, resilient teams through trust and transparency.
  • Encourage creativity, diversity of thought, and innovation.
  • Promote ownership and independence among team members.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience in solution architecture.
  • Extensive experience in architecture design within large enterprise environments.
  • Hands-on knowledge of system integration, configuration, and implementation.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to motivate teams and manage stakeholder relationships effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both technical and non-technical.
  • Experience in creating technical documentation.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce platform is a strong asset.
