Job Details

• Company Overview: We are a group of 25 Domino's Pizza locations in Calgary, committed to delivering great food and excellent service to our customers. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Accountant or Senior Accountant to manage the financial operations of our group. This is a solo role responsible for overseeing accounting and bookkeeping for all 25 locations.

• Position Overview: The Accountant/Senior Accountant will manage financial reporting, bookkeeping, and year-end close for our locations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, able to work independently, and experienced in managing multiple locations. This role offers an opportunity to play a key role in our operations and streamline financial processes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Perform daily bookkeeping for all locations, including managing accounts payable and receivable.
2. Prepare monthly and year-end financial statements for all locations.
3. Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial documents.
4. Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including GST returns and other filings.
5. Prepare financial reports and present findings to management.
6. Assist with year-end audits, providing documentation and working with external auditors.
7. Handle internal financial analysis to identify cost reductions and profitability improvements.
8. Maintain proper record-keeping and documentation for all transactions.
9. Address ad-hoc accounting and reporting needs as required.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the restaurant or franchise industry.
• Strong understanding of Canadian accounting principles and tax regulations.
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).
• Advanced Excel skills and attention to detail.
• Experience managing payroll and payroll tax filings.
• Strong communication skills to explain financial information clearly.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA or equivalent designation preferred.
• Experience with multi-location businesses, especially in food service or franchise industries.

Work Environment Requirements

• Ability to work remotely and independently, managing time effectively.
• Occasional on-site visits for financial oversight and collaboration.
