Join a leading automotive company as an Environmental Leader at the St. Catharines Propulsion Plant. This is an opportunity to join a team that manufactures the V8 engine and Dual Clutch 8-Speed Transmission. Once ready for distribution, these products are shipped to four different GM assembly plants. The plant is undergoing retooling to build an electric drive unit.
The GM St. Catharines Propulsion Plant is GM Canada’s first facility to use renewable energy through the Landfill Gas Co-Generation Plant. It exemplifies GM’s commitment to reducing carbon emissions. It has been a landfill-free facility since 2008 and is certified with the Wildlife Habitat Council Gold Program.
As an Environmental Leader supporting the St. Catharines Propulsion Plant, you will lead the air compliance and regulatory reporting programs, oversee PCB management, and maintain the ISO 14001 environmental management system. You will also develop programs to reduce environmental risks and enhance operational efficiency.
The team : The Environmental Operations Team comprises highly trained environmental professionals who serve as a primary resource for manufacturing partners. We integrate robust environmental and sustainability practices into daily operations to ensure compliance with laws and regulations while fostering community engagement. Our team collaborates with service suppliers, community partners, regulatory agencies, environmental consultants, and legal staff.
