Responsibilities :

1. Reconciling bank and credit card accounts
2. Managing Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
3. Processing monthly/quarterly HST/GST/Payroll remittances (Canada and Ireland)
4. Processing annual T4s
5. Delivering monthly financial management reports, including budgeting, forecasting, and analysis
6. Producing reconciliations and transactions
7. Month-end closing
8. Engaging with the CRA and relevant regulatory agencies, as required
9. Liaising with brokers and benefits providers for appropriate plan setup and administration
10. Data analysis and reporting
11. Identifying and reporting risk
12. Assisting with the preparation of financial reporting packages and statements
13. Cash management
14. Inter-company accounting
15. Ad-hoc inquiries and reports
16. Providing support in managing larger training and consulting projects—tracking days, costs, and margins

Qualifications :

1. Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada
2. 3+ years of full-cycle accounting experience
3. Experience with provincial and federal taxation and remittance requirements
4. Self-motivated and collaborative
5. Highly organized
6. Tech-savvy (experience using QuickBooks Online and/or Xero cloud accounting software is an asset)
7. Advanced knowledge of the MS Office suite—Word, Outlook, etc.
8. Experience with data analysis, financial statement analysis, financial planning, and reporting is an asset
9. Strong written and verbal communication skills
