RED SEAL INSTRUMENTATION & CONTROL TECHNICIAN

Activity sector: Pulp and Paper

Site: Kamloops, BC

Wage: $52.69 per hour

Relocation: Allowance provided

Schedule: Compressed Work Week (9-hour dayshifts, every other Friday off)

YOUR ROLE

Reporting to the Electrical & Instrumentation Maintenance Supervisor, the Instrumentation Technician will support the mill’s continuous improvement efforts through construction projects and general preventative maintenance.

Your Responsibilities

1. Troubleshoot and repair process control instrumentation;
2. Perform regular predictive/preventative maintenance;
3. Service control valves, emission monitors, and kraft pulp analyzers;
4. Use computer diagnostics and testing to monitor, measure, and troubleshoot processes;
5. Perform routine cleaning and maintenance work.

Your Qualifications

1. BC Journeyperson and/or Interprovincial Red Seal Industrial Instrumentation & Control Technician Certification;
2. Experience in a safety-sensitive industrial environment;
3. Proficiency with computer systems, including Microsoft Office and maintenance software like SAP;
4. Additional dual ticket qualifications in Electrical and/or HVAC are assets.
