Job description

We are looking for a talented Commercial Transport Technician to join our team, specializing in engine repairs for our Distribution Business in Kamloops.

About the Role

Cummins Kamloops requires an experienced Red Seal Truck & Transport technician with trailer experience. The candidate will be required to work a rotating on-call schedule to serve our key customers.

Responsibilities include bumper-to-bumper repairs on trucks, trailers, motorhomes, and Onan products. Training will be provided to the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

1. Complete repairs and rebuilds on engine products in the field.
2. Develop productive customer relations and ensure prompt and efficient service.
3. Follow documented procedures and policies for repairs and maintenance, including parts and tools preparation.
4. Complete necessary documentation such as work reports, time sheets, warranty claims, and quality forms.
5. Participate in training aligned with skill and business needs.
6. Adhere to all Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures, and legislation, reporting any issues to supervisors.

Qualifications

• Valid local driving permit.
• Red Seal Journeyman certification in HET or Commercial Transport.
• Intermediate Technician Level II: relevant experience, capable of performing moderately complex maintenance and repairs, with some exposure to diagnostics, requiring limited supervision, and possibly providing training to others.
