Job Description
Reporting to the Manager, Security, Administration, and Building Management, the Corporate Security Analyst is responsible for developing and improving policies, procedures, and requirements related to emergency preparedness, security, and the associated corporate training program. The incumbent will manage the Library’s emergency preparedness plans, provide expert advice on security and safety, and facilitate collaboration with relevant teams. They will also conduct research, risk assessments, environmental scans, analyse data, and recommend best practices for security and awareness.
The incumbent performs the following duties:
Provide expert guidance in the development and continuous improvement of security frameworks, policies, and standards related to personnel, physical security, and risk management.
Lead the development, maintenance, and implementation of emergency protocols, Business Continuity Plans (BCPs), and response strategies, including coordination of the Fire Wardens program and annual evacuation exercises.
Conduct threat and risk assessments, perform environmental scans and data analysis, and recommend tools and strategies to mitigate risks and improve operational security effectiveness.
Design, develop, and deliver security awareness programs, educational content, and training sessions to promote a strong security culture and ensure compliance with organizational policies.
Collaborate with internal and external partners, including Occupational Health and Safety and Labour Relations teams, participate in incident debriefings, and produce analytical reports with recommendations to support decision-making and enhance overall security posture.

Education and experience requirements will be used to determine which candidates will be asked to participate in the next stage of the selection process.
This selection process may include a second-language evaluation, a written exam, and an interview. The interview will consist of behavioural, situational and knowledge-based questions. Candidates will be required to pass each stage in order to move to the next stage of the selection process.
Qualified candidates from this selection process may be considered for determinate or indeterminate positions at the Library of Parliament that require similar knowledge and/or competencies.
