Principal Security Analyst - Remote

About the Job:

The Managed Services Principal Security Analyst is responsible for delivering security solutions to clients. This role involves strategic advisory, in-depth analysis, and creating custom security content for Cyderes' managed service customers. The analyst will represent the company positively, exceeding client expectations through effective interaction and leadership.

Responsibilities:

1. Take ownership of security outcomes for designated customers.
2. Provide guidance, mentorship, and leadership to other Security Analysts.
3. Lead customer cadence calls and act as a trusted advisor.
4. Create custom dashboards and reports for customer updates.
5. Ensure the quality of SOC deliverables.
6. Perform threat hunting and security investigations on customer networks.
7. Analyze customer security posture, risks, and data at an expert level.
8. Update documentation and runbooks; advise on technology improvements.
9. Communicate recommendations and security guidelines effectively.
10. Maintain current knowledge of the threat landscape.

Requirements:

1. At least 5 years of advanced IT security experience, with recent senior role experience.
2. System administration experience across Windows, Unix/Linux, and Mac.
3. Strong understanding of networking and ability to analyze network artifacts.
4. Experience with Endpoint Detection and Response software (e.g., SentinelOne, Crowdstrike, Defender).
5. Proficiency with at least one leading SIEM platform (e.g., Splunk, Elastic, QRadar, Chronicle).
6. Industry certifications such as Sec+, CEH, GCIH, GCIA, GSEC, OSCP, or working towards them.
7. Knowledge of SOAR platforms like Siemplify or Forti SOAR.
8. Scripting or development skills in Python, JavaScript, PowerShell, Bash, etc.
9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
10. Expertise in the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
