Job Description

The Regional HR Manager will oversee HR activities across multiple manufacturing sites in Eastern Canada, providing support and guidance to local HR Business Partners. Responsibilities include employee and labour relations management, training, organizational development, and leadership coaching, aligned with our organizational strategy and culture. This role supports operations in eastern Ontario, Quebec, and Atlantic Canada and is based in Toronto with frequent travel.

When You Join Us, You Will

  • Manage and resolve employee relations issues by partnering with Site Leaders and HR Business Partners
  • Support day-to-day administration of the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) and participate in union negotiations by providing key HR data
  • Collaborate with Site Leaders and Operation Directors to develop and implement HR solutions that improve manufacturing performance
  • Partner with Corporate HR to execute and evaluate corporate programs and initiatives
  • Provide managers with tools and training to enhance performance and support individual development plans
  • Assist in talent review and succession planning using a consultative approach
  • Develop and facilitate leadership training with Corporate Training for roles from Plant Managers to Supervisors
  • Work with recruiting teams to attract top talent, improve selection processes, and expand local outreach
  • Cultivate internal talent and participate in promotional decisions, maintaining relationships with recruiters for timely hiring
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations
  • Communicate and interpret company policies and Code of Conduct
  • Collaborate with the Corporate HR team to implement initiatives and provide feedback from various sites

Our Ideal Candidate

  • University degree in Human Resources Management or related field
  • Experience in manufacturing or related industry (preferred)
  • At least 10 years of experience as an HR generalist or HR Business Partner
  • Proficiency in federal and provincial employment laws and human rights legislation
  • Bilingual in English and French
  • Strong problem-solving, project management, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in HRIS, MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant tools
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities
