Job summary

JMJ Phillip Group seeks an experienced E&M Systems Lead to oversee technical scope, systems integration, and project delivery for complex transportation projects in Toronto. You will coordinate across engineering, installation, testing, commissioning, and other technical teams to ensure successful system deployment.

You will manage risks, ensure regulatory and safety compliance, and maintain strong client relationships while driving continuous improvement across multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) license or progress toward obtaining one.
• 5+ years of experience in a technical role within railway or transportation projects.
• Experience supporting project deployment throughout the full lifecycle, including commissioning.
• Strong understanding of systems integration, requirements management, configuration control, and technical risk management.
• Experience working in contractual customer environments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in English, including the ability to communicate using technical documentation and terminology.

Responsibilities

• Oversee technical and contractual scope of assigned projects.
• Develop and control technical scopes of work and documentation.
• Support project engineering leadership in solution deployment and final acceptance.
• Coordinate engineering activities and support execution of project delivery plans.
• Ensure project solutions meet performance requirements and customer acceptance criteria.
• Oversee configuration management and change control.
• Review documentation for alignment and consistency.
• Identify gaps in interfaces and coordinate resolutions.
• Manage the controlled integration of external technical information into project systems.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate engineering risks.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, contractual requirements, and safety standards.
• Maintain relationships with customers and stakeholders.
• Communicate requirements, risks, decisions clearly.
• Support knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
