Job summary

Davey Tree Expert Co. of Canada, Limited is seeking a Driver/Arborist Assistant to join our on-site team in Strathroy, Ontario. You will drive with the crew to job sites and assist in pruning, removal, and related services, ensuring safety and efficiency.

The role requires a provincial license (AZ/DZ preferred), willingness to pursue arborist certification, and ability to lift 50 lbs. Ongoing training and a supportive team environment are provided.

Qualifications

• Valid provincial driver’s license; AZ or DZ license.
• Arborist certification or willingness to work towards.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs and work safely as part of a crew.

Responsibilities

• Drive a commercial truck with crew and equipment to various job sites.
• Perform and log daily pre and post trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Maintain cleanliness of the truck and interior/exterior.
• Operate as an active crew member with ground crew and crew leader.
• Perform tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully for clients.
