Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Co. of Canada, Limited in Carp, Ontario is seeking an Arborist Apprentice/Driver to join the crew, ensuring safe, on-time arrival and execution of pruning and removal tasks. You will support ground crew and help deliver quality workmanship on diverse job sites.

Responsibilities include driving to sites, inspecting the vehicle, maintaining equipment, and assisting the foreperson. A valid provincial license (AZ/DZ preferred) and arborist certification progress are desirable

Qualifications

• Background in Forestry/Horticulture preferred; Arborist certification or progress toward certification is a plus.
• Valid provincial driver's license with clean record; AZ or DZ license preferred.
• Able to lift and carry 50 lbs and work safely in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Drive a commercial truck with crew and equipment to job sites as required.
• Perform and log daily pre/post trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Maintain cleanliness of the truck interior and exterior.
• Operate as an active crew member with supporting ground crew and crew leader.
• Perform tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully.
