The Meat Depot in Etobicoke is seeking reliable DZ drivers to join our transportation team. The role involves safely delivering meat products across Windsor and surrounding towns with early mornings and long-distance routes.

Responsibilities include pre/post-trip inspections, loading/unloading, accurate delivery logs, and clear communication with dispatch. Valid Ontario DZ license and 5 years driving experience preferred; ability to lift up to 50 lbs required.

Qualifications

• Valid Ontario DZ driver’s license with a clean abstract.
• 5 years of commercial driving experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Windsor and surrounding areas.
• Able to handle long shifts and early starts.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.

Position Overview:

The Meat Depot is seeking reliable and experienced DZ Drivers to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering meat and related products to customers across Windsor and surrounding towns. This position requires early morning starts, long-distance driving, and attention to detail to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate DZ commercial vehicles safely and in compliance with all transportation regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Load and unload products at delivery locations (may include use of pallet jacks or other equipment).
• Deliver products accurately and on time to customers across designated routes.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, paperwork, and time records.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse teams regarding delays, issues, or changes.
• Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and food handling regulations.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Valid Ontario DZ driver’s license with a clean driving abstract.
• Minimum 5 years of commercial driving experience preferred.
• Excellent knowledge of Windsor and surrounding areas.
• Ability to handle long shifts and early morning start times.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Physically capable of lifting and moving up to 50 lbs as required.
• Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude.
