Job summary

Canadian Rockies Public Schools is now accepting applications for the position of Substitute Teachers for the 2026-2027 school year. The successful candidate will demonstrate the Alberta Teaching Quality Standard, differentiate instruction for diverse learners, manage classroom behaviour, and communicate clearly in English; knowledge of French is an asset.

Start date will be set once suitable candidates are found, and the closing date remains open until candidates are identified.

• Training in and experience working with students and curriculum across the divisions.

• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to differentiate curriculum for all learners.
• Excellent behaviour management skills.
• Knowledge of current educational research and issues.
• Excellent oral and written English.
• Experience in working as a member of a professional learning network.
• Ability to work collaboratively and co-teach.
• Understands and applies principles of the Teaching Effectiveness Framework.
• Demonstrates skills of a child-centred Educator who embodies the Mission, Vision and Beliefs of the division.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively integrate technology to enhance the learning opportunities of students.
• Oral and Written French Language Skills would be an asset.
