Job summary

Bâton Rouge is seeking a friendly server to greet guests, present the menu and offer recommendations. You will take orders, relay them to the kitchen, and serve drinks and meals while maintaining high service standards.

We value strong French communication, attention to detail, and the ability to manage busy service periods. Training is provided, with part-time schedules and a focus on guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience in restaurant operations is preferred.
• On-the-job training is provided.
• A certain level of manual dexterity is required.
• Attention to detail and openness to change are essential.
• Strong French verbal communication and listening skills are required.
• Good grooming, confidence, integrity and ability to handle stress are valued.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers, presents the menu, makes suggestions and answers questions about food and beverages.
• Takes orders and transmits them to the kitchen via POS system.
• Serves beverages, wines, alcohol and cocktails according to service steps.
• Serves meals and ensures quality service in the dining room.
• Prepares the bills, handles cash and balances transactions.
• Maintains cleanliness and safety in the dining area and work space.
• Ensures the work area is organized and efficient.
• Clears and cleans tables after guests depart.
