Job summary

Chew Excavating, a member of the Ralmax Group, has an immediate opening for a Dump Truck Driver in Victoria, BC. This is a full-time or part-time, permanent, union position delivering to industrial, commercial and residential construction sites.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of driving experience, a valid Class 1 or Class 3 license, and knowledge of the Greater Victoria area. Experience with trailers, lowbeds, or cranes is an asset. We offer competitive wages and union benefits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related driving experience.
• Valid Class 1 or Class 3 driver's license.
• Geographical knowledge of the Greater Victoria area.
• Experience pulling trailers.
• Experience operating a lowbed is an asset.
• Crane certification up to 10 tons is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Deliver to industrial, commercial and residential construction sites.
• Safely maneuver the truck in congested areas.
• Occasional weekend shifts as needed.
• Coordinate with dispatch and operations for timely deliveries.

Dump Truck Driver

Employment Type: Full-time or Part-time, Permanent, Union

Business Unit: Chew Excavating

Location: Victoria, British Columbia

Reporting to: Operations Manager/Dispatch

Wage Rate: $30.24 to $34.73 plus 11.5% vacation pay and $2.95/hour pension contribution

Hours of Work: Up to 40 hours per week. Weekend Availability Required Periodically

Work Setting: Institutional, Commercial, Civil, Industrial, Residential

Experience pulling a Tridem Pup, Quad trailer, Operating a Crane Truck or Low Bed desired.
