Job summary

Primoris Canada is seeking a qualified welder to join our field operations at the CNRL Horizon Maintenance site in Alberta. The role involves welding pipe, beams, and vessels using SMAW, GMAW, and FCAW processes, with emphasis on safety and quality in demanding outdoor conditions.

The position requires journeyman status or equivalent certification, with a series of SMAW and stainless welding certificates. Camp accommodation is available, and flights are provided from Edmonton and Calgary for

Qualifications

• Must be a registered ticketed journeyman or have an approved apprenticeship or journeyman certificate.
• Alberta B-Pressure Certificate is required.
• Current CWB SMAW certification is mandatory.
• CSO certification is required.
• F3/F3 downhill SMAW, F3/F4 uphill SMAW, F6/F6 down/up Stainless GMAW/FCAW, and F5 Uphill Stainless SMAW certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints to determine requirements.
• Join or sever metals in beams, vessels, piping, and other components.
• Use various welding processes per client requirements.
• Inspect welds for defects and ensure quality.
• Attend safety and toolbox meetings.
