Job summary

Primoris Canada is seeking a Welder to join our team at the CNRL Horizon Maintenance site. The role involves welding pipe, beams, vessels and other metal components, with work performed indoors or outdoors in potentially demanding conditions.

Anticipated Start Date: November 5, 2026. Shift options are 7/7 or 14/14, with flights provided from Edmonton and Calgary and camp accommodation available. Safety rules and OH&S standards must be followed.

Qualifications

• Must be a registered journeyman or hold an apprenticeship/journeyman certificate recognized by AIT.
• Alberta B-Pressure Certificate is required.
• Current CWB SMAW certification.
• CSO (Canadian Welding Society) certification.
• F3/F3 downhill SMAW certification.
• F3/F4 uphill SMAW certification.
• F6/F6 down/up Stainless GMAW/FCAW certification.
• F5 Uphill Stainless SMAW certification.

Responsibilities

• Comply with Company and Client Safety rules, OH&S standards.
• Read and interpret blue prints to determine job requirements.
• Join or sever metals in beams, vessels, piping, and other components.
• Utilize different processes and fillers per Client requirements.
• Clean and check welds for defects.
• Attend safety and tailgate/toolbox meetings.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

SUMMARY

The Welder is involved in the joining of pipe, steel, beams, vessels, and other metal components. This work may exist indoors or outdoors and may be physically demanding.

Anticipated Start Date: November 5, 2026

Location: CNRL Horizon Maintenance

Shift: 7/7 or 14/14

Travel: Flights provided from Edmonton and Calgary

Accommodation: Camp available

Hourly Rate: $129.17

JOB DUTIES
