Job summary

Primoris Canada is seeking a Welder for our Fabrication Shop in Acheson. The role involves joining pipes and related components, with an ASAP start and a 4/3 shift (10-hour days).

The position offers hourly pay at $46.66/hour base, plus a $3.00/hour outdoor premium and a $58.16/hour rate inclusive of benefits. Candidates must hold appropriate Alberta welding tickets and be able to work in a team.

Qualifications

• Must hold Alberta journeyman ticket and B-Pressure ticket.
• CSTS-09 and CSTS-20 certifications preferred.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a team.
• Experience welding with flux-cored wire (groove and fillet).

Responsibilities

• Comply with safety rules and OH&S standards.
• Read weld procedures to determine job requirements.
• Use different welding processes and fillers per client specs.
• Perform welds and inspect for defects.
• Attend safety meetings; may perform other duties.

SUMMARY

The Welder is involved in the joining of pipe, and other piping components.

4&3 Days (Mon-Thurs, 10-hour days)

Hourly Rate:

$46.66/hour

$58.16/hour (Inclusive of employer contributions for vacation/statutory, health and welfare, RSP, RSP matching, and education and training)

Outdoor Premium:

Additional $3.00/hr

JOB DUTIES

• Comply with Company and Client Safety rules, as well as OH&S standards
• Read and interpret weld procedures to determine requirements of the job
• Utilize different processes and fillers depending on the Client requirements
• Utilize different processes and fillers depending on the Client requirements (6010,7018 electrodes or flux core wire)
• Clean and check weld for defects
• Attend required safety and tailgate/toolbox meetings
• May perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be an Alberta registered ticketed journeyman and hold a valid B-Pressure ticket
• CSTS-09 and/or CSTS-20
• Able to work well in a team environment
• Must be physically able to lift 50lbs
• Organized and self-motivated
• Must have experience in roll welding using flux cored wire process on Groove welds and Fillet welds.
