Job summary

Surrey School District is seeking a skilled Drywaller Tradesperson to support renovations, repairs and new installations across 140+ school sites and facilities. The role requires a Red Seal drywalling endorsement, a Grade 12 diploma with apprenticeship, and at least four years of relevant experience.

You will work as part of a cohesive team or independently, applying safe practices, operating approved tools and equipment, and coordinating with trades helpers and contractors.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Red Seal in drywalling and interprovincial qualification.
• Completion of Grade 12 and apprenticeship training recognised by the district.
• Four years of recent practical drywalling experience or equivalent training.
• Knowledge of WHMIS, WCB health and safety regulations and district safety practices.
• Ability to communicate effectively and follow written and oral instructions with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Renovations, repairs and new installations across 140+ district sites and offices.
• Work as part of a team or independently to deliver top-quality work.
• Utilize top-quality tools and equipment provided by the district.
• Be prepared to work 7:00–3:00, Monday to Friday, with possible afternoon shift variations.
