Job summary

Samara Framing Ltd. seeks skilled drywall installer to work on-site in Surrey. The role involves measuring, cutting, and installing drywall sheets, positioning sheets on studs, applying compound, sanding joints, and installing ceilings. 7 months to <1 year experience preferred; English required. On-site role with free parking and transportation provided by employer.

Opportunity to contribute to acoustical and coffering ceiling projects and collaborate with a small team on site in Metro Vancouver.

Responsibilities

• Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints.
• Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.
• Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings.
• Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using trowel and broad knife.
• Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets.
• Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists.
