Job summary

Imperial Brady Canada in Saint-Laurent, QC is hiring a Tractor Trailer Driver to deliver products to our customers in a safe and professional manner. You will drive company vehicles within the Montreal area and handle loading/unloading to ensure on-time, accurate deliveries.

Shifts vary, and you must complete delivery paperwork and adhere to ISO policies. A bilingual English/French communication ability and a valid Class 1 license with at least two years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bilingual English and French required.
• Holder of active Class 1 license with at least two years of truck driving experience.
• Clean driving abstract/CVOR.
• TDG/WHMIS knowledge is an asset.
• Ability to operate power loading equipment.
• Stand-up MHE familiarity is an asset.
• ISO policies and procedures knowledge would be an asset.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

Job description

Imperial Brady Canada has a job open in Saint-Laurent, QC. The Tractor Trailer Driver is responsible for delivering product to our customers in a safe and professional manner, on time and accurately. There are a variety of shifts for this position.

Responsibilities:

• Driving company owned and licensed vehicles within the Montreal and surrounding areas.
• Loading and unloading stock in a secure manner for safe, damage-free transportation.
• Verifying all orders at time of delivery and delivering orders to meet customer specifications.
• Ensuring equipment and truck are in good working condition through adherence to delivery maintenance procedures.
• Familiarity with the completion of delivery registers and paperwork to ensure stock is accounted for.

Qualifications:

• Bilingual (English & French). Employee needs to be able to communicate with the head office, outside vendors, and suppliers etc.
• Holder of active Class 1 license with a minimum of two years of truck driving experience is required.
• Clean drivers abstract/CVOR
• Current TDG/WHMIS knowledge would be considered an asset.
• Ability to use power loading equipment.
• Tailgate experience would be considered an asset.
• Familiar with ISO Policies and Procedures would be considered an asset.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team member.

• High school graduate and/or related experience.

Working/Other Conditions:

• Working on-site in a dry climate-controlled warehouse and vehicle environment.
• Required to wear personal protective equipment – company supplied.
• Minimal to moderate exposure to hazardous conditions, noise, and vibrations conducive to a warehouse and vehicle environment.
• Ability to operate Stand-up Material Handling Equipment as required.
• Repetitive physical activities including but not limited to lifting, bending, pushing and pulling weights up to 23 kg (50lbs) for the duration of the shift.
• As an essential services provider you must be comfortable driving in all weather and road conditions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be flexible regarding work hours.
• Ability to work extended hours, which may be required from time to time.
