Job summary

RONA is seeking a Driver Helper to assist drivers with deliveries and customer interactions. You will transport and unload materials, coordinate with delivery teams, and ensure satisfaction while complying with safety standards.

The role requires a Secondary 5 diploma, a valid Full G license as an asset, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks outdoors in various weather conditions, including remote project sites.

Qualifications

• Secondary 5 diploma required; Full G license preferred (assets).
• Ability to perform physical tasks (up to 23 kg) outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Ability to work at remote job sites and perform carry-in deliveries of building materials.

Responsibilities

• Transport and handle merchandise from truck to customer sites in line with service standards.
• Inspect loads prior to delivery and assist the driver with paperwork.
• Provide excellent customer service, including contacting customers prior to delivery.
• Participate in order preparation, truck filling and general site maintenance.
• Work in accordance with health, safety and loss prevention policies.
• Coordinate carry-in deliveries of construction materials at residential and commercial job sites with drivers and carry-in crews.

Become an important delivery partner! As a Driver Helper, you'll support drivers during deliveries and help with handling tasks. With your commitment to customer service, you'll ensure an exceptional customer experience while meeting safety and performance standards.

Your role:

• Transport and handle merchandise from truck to customer sites in line with service standards

• Partner with drivers and carry-in crews to coordinate and execute carry-in deliveries of construction materials at residential and commercial job sites.

What we're looking for:

• Secondary 5 diploma and Full G license (considered assets)
• Ability to perform physical tasks (up to 23 kg) and work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Ability to work at remote job sites and perform carry-in deliveries of building materials, including drywall, lumber, plywood, and other construction products.
• Ability to work in a truck on the move and provide effective support the driver
