Job summary

RONA is seeking a delivery driver to join our team in Sept-Îles, QC. You will prepare deliveries, drive to homes and construction sites, and ensure on-time arrivals with a focus on safety and customer care.

Responsibilities include verifying shipments, maintaining the vehicle, and upholding store health and safety policies while delivering a reliable service to customers and contractors in our community.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 3 driver's license with an excellent driving record.
• At least 1 year of relevant delivery experience.
• Commitment to health and safety in the workplace.
• Good physical condition.

Responsibilities

• Prepare deliveries and the vehicle for trips, securing pallets and related documents.
• Deliver goods to homes and construction sites.
• Track shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and daily maintenance.
• Follow health, safety, and loss prevention policies.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Assist with other store tasks to keep operations running smoothly.

Your role:

• Participate in the preparation of deliveries and the vehicle used, such as securing pallets, holding related documentation, etc.


• Carry out deliveries to homes and construction sites.


• Track shipments until they reach their destination, while respecting delivery deadlines.


• Perform standard vehicle maintenance, document daily inspections and ensure the safety of all equipment.


• Work in accordance with store health and safety and loss prevention policies and procedures.


• Know and apply road safety rules.


• Provide impeccable customer service.


• Other related tasks to ensure the store runs smoothly.

What we're looking for:

• A valid class 3 driver's license and an excellent driving record.
