Job summary

Upper Canada Forest Products in Mississauga is seeking an AZ Driver - Cross Border (2-4 nights per week on the road). You will operate a tractor trailer, support customer deliveries, and uphold safety and compliance across US/Canada borders.

This role emphasizes on-road experience, forklift certification optional, and a strong focus on reliable service and teamwork with warehouse staff to ensure timely distribution of premium wood products.

Responsibilities

• Operate a tractor trailer and potentially straight truck as needed.
• Complete pre/post-trip inspections and maintain safety standards.
• Maintain logs and compliance documentation.
• Load and unload wood products and secure cargo.
• Collaborate with warehouse teams to ensure on-time deliveries.
• May operate forklift and/or Moffett when required.

What you will do:

• Operate a tractor trailer; potentially straight truck as needed.
• Ongoing and continuous learning and development; including forklift certification.
• Comply with applicable legislation including safety operation, carriage of goods, driver’s hours, occupational health and safety, and applicable traffic laws.
• Perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspection to ensure mechanical, safety and emergency equipment meets our rigorous safety standards.
• Maintain daily logs, inspection logs and other necessary driver compliance documentation.
• Fill reports such as Driver logs, inspection reports (pre-trip, enroute, post-trip), maintenance and repair reports, and incident reports.
• Perform all aspects of truck and trailer load securement.
• Physically capable of opening and closing curtains on the trailer.
• Safely load and unload premium quality wood products for our customers.
• May be required to operate a forklift and/or Moffett.
• Safely lift material up to 75 pounds.
