Upper Canada Forest Products Ltd. in Mississauga is seeking an AZ Driver for cross-border routes (2-4 nights per week on average). The role focuses on safe, efficient delivery of premium wood products across Canada and the USA.

Qualifications

  • Ability to cross into USA/Canada borders for cross-border deliveries.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a tractor trailer and potentially a straight truck.
  • Complete pre/post-trip inspections and logs.
  • Maintain driver logs and incident reports; ensure safety standards.
  • Load/unload wood products and secure cargo.
  • Adhere to hours-of-service, safety regulations, and traffic laws.
  • Provide excellent customer experience.
  • May operate forklift or Moffett as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What you will do:

  • Operate a tractor trailer; potentially straight truck as needed.
  • Ongoing and continuous learning and development; including forklift certification.
  • Comply with applicable legislation including safety operation, carriage of goods, driver’s hours, occupational health and safety, and applicable traffic laws.
  • Perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspection to ensure mechanical, safety and emergency equipment meets our rigorous safety standards.
  • Maintain daily logs, inspection logs and other necessary driver compliance documentation.
  • Fill reports such as Driver logs, inspection reports (pre-trip, enroute, post-trip), maintenance and repair reports, and incident reports.
  • Perform all aspects of truck and trailer load securement.
  • Physically capable of opening and closing curtains on the trailer.
  • Safely load and unload premium quality wood products for our customers.
  • May be required to operate a forklift and/or Moffett.
  • Safely lift material up to 75 pounds.
  • Provide excellent customer experience.
