Job summary

Roofmart is seeking a Truck Driver to safely load, move and deliver product within the Ottawa region. The role requires performing inspections, keeping vehicles and yards clean, and complying with health and safety regulations.

You must have a Class 3 CDL or AZ/DZ license and be authorized to work in Canada. Offers include competitive benefits and opportunities to work with a dedicated team in a retail/industrial setting.

• Maintaining clean and organized work environments in the store, yard, and trucks.
• Strictly adhering to and complying with all health and safety rules, regulations, and legislation.

Job Responsibilities

• Safely loading, moving and delivering product
• Performing pre-operational inspections, maintenance checklists, cleaning and lubricating the crane
• Maintaining clean and organized work environments in the store, yard, and trucks
• Strictly adhering to and complying with all health and safety rules, regulations, and legislation
• Other duties as required

Qualifications

• Must have valid insurance acceptable Class 3 CDL and ability to provide current drivers abstract (West)
• Must have valid insurable acceptable AZ/DZ license and clean driving abstract (East)
• Load securement training (can be provided)
• Fall Protection/Working at Heights Training - an asset (can be provided)
• First Aid Certificate - an asset (can be provided)
• Previous Forklift/Moffett training - an asset (can be provided)
• Previous Truck Driver and Operator experience - Preferred
• Ability to lift, push and carry 80-100lbs repeatedly
• Strong customer service skills
• Knowledge of the roofing industry would be considered an asset
• Authorized to work in Canada
