Job summary

Roof Centre, a leading roofing materials distributor, is seeking a Crane Truck Driver and Operator to safely load, transport and deliver products. You will perform pre-operational crane inspections, maintain equipment, and keep work areas clean and organized while adhering to safety regulations.

The role requires valid Class 3 CDL and AZ/DZ licenses, crane operator certification, and the ability to handle 80-100 lb lifts.

Qualifications

• Must have valid insurance acceptable Class 3 CDL and ability to provide current driving abstract (West).
• Must have valid insurable acceptable AZ/DZ license and clean driving abstract (East).
• Crane Operator A Ticket required.
• Load securement training can be provided.
• Fall Protection/Working at Heights training an asset.
• First Aid Certificate an asset.
• Previous Truck Driver and Operator experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely load, move and deliver product.
• Perform pre-operational crane inspections and maintenance checks.
• Maintain clean and organized work environments in the store, yard, and trucks.
• Strictly adhere to and comply with health and safety rules and regulations.
• Other duties as required.

Job Description

Job Summary

Crane Truck Driver and Operator is responsible for the safe loading, transport, and delivery of products, while performing pre-operational crane inspections and maintenance. Ensures work areas remain clean and organized, and consistently upholds all health and safety regulations. Supports additional operational tasks as needed.

Compensation

$32-40/hr

Job Responsibilities

• Safely load, move and deliver product
• Perform pre-operational inspections, maintenance checklists, clean and lubricate the crane
• Maintain clean and organized work environments in the store, yard, and trucks
• Strictly adhere to and comply with all health and safety rules, regulations, and legislation
• Other duties as required

Qualifications

• Must have valid insurance acceptable Class 3 CDL and ability to provide current drivers abstract (West)
• Must have valid insurable acceptable AZ/DZ license and clean driving abstract (East)
• Valid Crane Operator A Ticket required
• Load securement training (can be provided)
• Fall Protection/Working at Heights Training - an asset (can be provided)
• First Aid Certificate - an asset (can be provided)
• Previous Forklift/Moffett training - an asset (can be provided)
• Previous Truck Driver and Operator experience - Preferred
• Ability to lift, push and carry 80-100lbs repeatedly
• Strong customer service skills
• Knowledge of the roofing industry would be considered an asset
