Job summary

Roofmart in Ottawa is seeking a motivated Truck Driver to safely load, move and deliver product to customers and job sites across our network. You will operate with a strong focus on safety, efficiency and excellent service.

Candidates should have a valid Class 3 CDL or AZ/DZ license, be able to lift 80–100 lbs, and meet the company’s standards for driving records. This is a full-time role with competitive hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have valid insurance acceptable Class 3 CDL and ability to provide current drivers abstract (West)
• Must have valid insurable acceptable AZ/DZ license and clean driving abstract (East)
• Load securement training (can be provided)
• Fall Protection/Working at Heights Training - an asset (can be provided)
• First Aid Certificate - an asset (can be provided)
• Previous Forklift/Moffett training - an asset (can be provided)
• Previous Truck Driver and Operator experience - Preferred
• Ability to lift, push and carry 80-100lbs repeatedly
• Strong customer service skills
• Knowledge of the roofing industry would be considered an asset
• Authorized to work in Canada

Responsibilities

• Safely loading, moving and delivering product
• Performing pre-operational inspections, maintenance checklists, cleaning and lubricating the crane
• Maintaining clean and organized work environments in the store, yard, and trucks
• Strictly adhering to and complying with all health and safety rules, regulations, and legislation
• Other duties as required

$30-32 per hour **this is a replacement***
