Job summary

Brenntag Canada Inc. is seeking a professional truck driver with hazmat experience to join our team in Canada. You will drive routes, load and unload, and manage shipping documents while maintaining safety and vehicle integrity.

The role requires English fluency, a valid license, air brake certification, and at least 2 years of hazmat experience. You will operate electronic logging and telemetry systems, adhering to TDG and WHMIS regulations.

Qualifications

• English fluency, written and verbal.
• Proficient with transportation technology such as electronic logging, telemetry.
• Completion of High School Education.
• Holds a valid/relevant license.
• Air brake certificate required.
• Clean driver’s abstract.
• All candidates must provide their driver’s abstract before road test.
• CRC with satisfactory status.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience handling and transporting hazmat chemicals (pumping, air pad displacement).
• Solid understanding of the Highway Traffic Act as it relates to truck driving.
• TDG requirements knowledge.
• WHMIS requirements knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Drive truck according to defined tour and loads.
• Load and unload truck.
• Handle transportation documents at delivery.
• Picks up and delivers bulk and non-bulk chemical products safely.
• Keep assigned vehicle mechanically sound, safe, and clean.
• Complete paperwork (log books, inspections, run sheets, bills of lading) accurately.
• Support commercial group and meet business goals.
• Schedule activities to ensure timely completion.
• Keep the business informed of activity results.
• Assist Operations Manager with special projects.

YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs role in a manner that is reflective of Brenntag's Core Values, within regulatory requirements and company policies, programs and expectations;

• Ensures a safe work environment at all times, reporting unsafe conditions immediately to District Management;

• Picks up and delivers both bulk and non-bulk chemical products, as required, in a safe and conscientious manner;

• Keeps the vehicle that he/she is assigned in a mechanically sound, safe, and clean condition;

• Completes all paperwork such as log books, truck inspection forms, run sheets, bills of lading, etc. precisely and in a timely manner;

• Works toward meeting business goals and shares successes with others;

• Makes every effort to support commercial group at all times;

• Schedules activities such that they are completed in a timely manner;

• Makes every effort to keep the business informed of results of activities;

• Completes other tasks and special projects as assigned by the Operations Manager

YOUR PROFILE

Education and Experience:

• English fluency, written and verbal

• Is comfortable with technology typically found in the Transportation Industry - electronic logging, online training, telemetry

• Completion of HighSchoolEducation

• Holds valid/relevant license

• Air brake certificate required

• Clean driver's abstract

• All candidates must provide their driver's abstract before doing the road test

• CRC with satisfactory status

• Minimum 2-years' experience handling and transporting hazmat chemicals - pumping, air pad displacement

• Must have a good understanding of the Highway Traffic Act as it reflects on truck driving

• Experienced and Knowledgeable of TDG requirements

• Experienced and Knowledgeable of WHMIS requirements
