Job summary

Brenntag Canada Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support shipping, receiving and storage operations in Mississauga. The role emphasizes safety, accurate product handling, and adherence to procedures and policies.

You will use RF scanners, assist with loading and unloading, and help maintain a clean, organized work area while following Brenntag’s safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Secondary School Diploma.
  • 1-2 years of experience in an industrial or shipping & receiving environment.
  • Knowledge of TDG, WHMIS, Emergency Response, and forklift operations.

Responsibilities

  • Performs picking, packing, staging and shipment of goods.
  • Uses an RF scanner to track, locate and verify products.
  • Loads/unloads packaged products safely and verifies documentation.
  • Maintains a clean, organized and safe work area; reports hazards.
  • Operates Reach and Counterbalance trucks as trained.

Your Role

To safely perform the tasks assigned by Warehouse Supervisor and Site Management as they relate to shipping, receiving, storing in accordance with procedures that conform to all corporate and local policies, programs and budget.

Reporting Structure

This position reports directly to the Warehouse Supervisor as identified. There are no direct reports to this position.

Key Accountabilities
  • Performs role in a manner that is reflective of Brenntag’s Core Values, within regulatory requirements and company policies, programs and expectations and SOP;
  • Ensures a safe work environment at all times, reporting unsafe conditions immediately to Site Management;
  • Executes the fulfillment of customers’ orders and requirements through the processes of Picking, wrapping, staging, and shipment of goods, packaged.
  • Inspects, loads and unloads packaged products in a safe, efficient manner and confirms all appropriate regulatory documentation is in order; performs product verification where required;
  • Use a RF Scanner to accurately track, locate and verify products during receiving, picking, packing and shipping processes.
  • Inspects and verifies the satisfactory performance of all equipment and tools used in this area of operations, recommends changes where necessary, and actively participates in keeping the work area clean, organized and functional;
  • Competent on both Reach truck and Counterbalance truck
  • Supports and follows Brenntag’s ‘Job 7’ product shipment best practices initiatives;
  • Completes other tasks and special projects as assigned by the Site Manager/Site Supervisor/ Operations Manager.
Work Environment

This position requires the candidate to lift up to 25kg, stand for extended periods of time.

Skills And Abilities Required
  • Knowledge and/or training in TDG, WHMIS, Emergency Response, Forklift License
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and ERP systems would be considered an asset
  • Commitment to safety and past Joint Health & Safety Committee experience is considered an asset
Education And Experience
  • Secondary School Diploma
  • Previous experience in an industrial or shipping & receiving environment (1-2 years)
