Job summary

Brenntag Canada Inc. is seeking an experienced truck driver to join our transportation team in Alberta. You will pick up and deliver bulk and non-bulk chemical products, maintain a safe vehicle, and complete required paperwork accurately.

Applicants must hold a valid license, an air brake certificate, a clean driver’s abstract, and at least two years’ hazmat handling experience. TDG and WHMIS knowledge are essential, with flexible hours and benefits.

Qualifications

• English fluency, written and verbal.
• Comfortable with technology typical in Transportation Industry - electronic logging, online training, telemetry.
• Completion of High School Education.
• Holds valid/relevant license.
• Air brake certificate required.
• Clean driver's abstract.
• All candidates must provide their driver's abstract before road test.
• CRC with satisfactory status.
• Minimum 2-years' experience handling and transporting hazmat chemicals.
• Understanding of Highway Traffic Act as it relates to truck driving.
• Experience and knowledge of TDG requirements.
• Experience and knowledge of WHMIS requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ensures a safe work environment at all times, reporting unsafe conditions immediately to District Management.
• Picks up and delivers both bulk and non-bulk chemical products, as required, in a safe and conscientious manner.
• Keeps the vehicle that he/she is assigned in a mechanically sound, safe, and clean condition.
• Completes all paperwork such as log books, truck inspection forms, run sheets, bills of lading, etc., precisely and in a timely manner.
• Works toward meeting business goals and shares successes with others.
• Makes every effort to support commercial group at all times.
• Schedules activities such that they are completed in a timely manner.
• Makes every effort to keep the business informed of results of activities.
• Completes other tasks and special projects as assigned by the Operations Manager.
