Job summary

ALS in Canada is seeking a delivery driver to support client services with samples and supplies in the GTA and Waterloo area, focusing on Mississauga and Richmond Hill locations.

You will drive, pick up and deliver, prepare orders, maintain vehicle cleanliness, and follow safety protocols while delivering reliable service to customers.

The role requires a valid Ontario G class license, 3 years of driving, and strong organization; weekend shifts possible; benefits included.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Ontario driver’s license (G) with clean driving history and minimum 3 years driving experience.
  • No physical limitations preventing additional licenses or maintenance of current license.
  • Previous warehouse and/or shipping/receiving experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct client deliveries and pick-ups as needed.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the company vehicle and perform daily operational checks.
  • Ensure records and supplies are complete and accurate.
  • Prepare and organize orders to client-supplied specifications.
  • Assist with proper packing and daily shipping to clients and ALS locations.
  • Work safely, drive safely and follow safety requirements in the Safety Manual.

The primary responsibility of this role is to support the client services department with sample pick-ups deliveries, and bottle order preparation for customers requiring sampling supplies and sample testing services in the GTA and Waterloo area with specific responsibilities for the Mississauga and Richmond Hill locations.

Specific Responsibilities
  • Conduct client deliveries and pick-ups as needed
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the company vehicle and perform daily operational checks
  • Ensure records and supplies are complete and accurate
  • Prepare and organize orders to client-supplied specifications
  • Assist with the proper packing and daily shipping to clients and to ALS locations
  • Work safely, drive safely and follow safety requirements in the Safety Manual and communicate all safety concerns or incidents to Safety Rep
  • Provide customer feedback to client services personnel
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Good organizational skills to handle fluctuating workload and prioritizing work;
  • Attention to detail and great customer service skills required;
  • Ability to work within a fast-paced, high-volume environment;
  • Good computer skills, including email, Microsoft suite;
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team;
  • Excellent English communication skills both written and verbal.
Required Qualifications
  • Grade 12 diploma;
  • Current and valid Ontario driver's license (class G) with clean driving history and a minimum of 3 years driving experience. Abstract required;
  • No physical limitations that would prevent the candidate from securing additional licenses or maintain current license (ex. Medication);
  • No conditions that would prohibit the driving of long distances;
  • Previous Warehouse experience will be an asset;
  • Previous shipping receiving experience will be an asset.
Physical Demands
  • Manual dexterity to perform intricate and/or repetitive tasks;
  • Extensive walking or movement, bending, kneeling, and carrying;
  • Able to stand or sit for a full shift;
  • Able to climb stairs.
  • You may be exposed to unpleasant odours;
  • Please note that ALS operates 24/7 and will require day, afternoon, and graveyard shift work including weekends.

  • An estimated hourly pay of $22.27CAD at the time of posting. Individual compensation is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education and/or training.
