Job summary

Vast-Auto Distribution, a leader in auto parts distribution and retail across Eastern Canada, is seeking a delivery driver. You will deliver automotive parts to customers safely and on time, verify parts and invoices, and assist counter staff with retrieval for deliveries.

The role includes preparing routes, handling returns, maintaining the vehicle, keeping the store clean, and reporting issues to your manager.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year delivery experience required.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Deliver automotive parts to customers safely and on time.
• Verify parts and invoices for accuracy of delivery orders.
• Assist counter clerks with retrieval of parts for delivery.
• Prepare delivery route as requested by the dispatcher.
• Handle cores, returns, and sign the Return Request Form.
• Maintain vehicle and report issues to management.
• Keep store interior and exterior clean.

• Deliver automotive parts to customers in a safe and timely manner.
• Verify the parts and invoices and ensure the accuracy of the order to be delivered.
• Help the counter clerks getting the parts for the delivery if needed.
• Prepare the delivery route based on the dispatcher’s request.
• Collect “cores”, new parts and defectives. Ensure that all parts on the Return Request Form are accurate.
• Fill in the Return Request Form and have it signed by the customer.
• Help the warehouse clerk to put back the received stock in inventory.
• Maintain and ensure the proper functioning of the vehicle.
• Do the cleaning and maintenance of the store (interior & exterior).
• Maintain and ensure that your vehicle is working properly.
• Notify your manager in the event of problems.
• Have safe driving habits.
• All other related tasks.

Skills sought:

• Possess a High School Diploma.
• Have a minimum of 1 year of experience in delivery.
• Ability to lift items up to 50lbs.
• Possess a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
