Job summary

Vast-Auto Distribution in Canada seeks a dependable delivery driver to transport automotive parts to customers using a company vehicle. You will verify orders and invoices, assist counter clerks, and prepare delivery routes as requested by the dispatcher.

A valid driver’s license and a good driving record are required. The role offers a permanent position with a dynamic team, a 40-hour week that may vary across days, and a competitive salary.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Minimum 1 year of delivery experience.
• Ability to lift items up to 50 lbs.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Deliver automotive parts to customers using a company vehicle.
• Verify parts and invoices to ensure order accuracy.
• Help counter clerks with parts for delivery if needed.
• Prepare delivery route based on dispatcher’s request.
• Collect amounts due upon delivery, if applicable.
• Handle cores, new parts and defectives; complete Return Request Form.
• Return form signed by customer.
• Assist warehouse staff to return stock to inventory.
• Maintain and ensure proper vehicle functioning; clean and maintain store.
• Notify manager of problems and maintain safe driving habits.
• All other related tasks.

• Deliver automotive parts to customers using a company vehicle in a safe and timely manner.
• Verify the parts and invoices and ensure the accuracy of the order to be delivered.
• Help the counter clerks getting the parts for the delivery if needed.
• Prepare the delivery route based on the dispatcher’s request.
• Collect amounts due upon delivery, if applicable.
• Collect “cores”, new parts and defectives. Ensure that all parts on the Return Request Form are accurate.
• Fill in the Return Request Form and have it signed by the customer.
• Help the warehouse clerk to put back the received stock in inventory.
• Maintain and ensure the proper functioning of the vehicle.
• Do the cleaning and maintenance of the store (interior & exterior).
• Maintain and ensure that your vehicle is working properly.
• Notify your manager in the event of problems.
• Have safe driving habits.
• All other related tasks.

Skills sought:

• Possess a High School Diploma.
• Have a minimum of 1 year of experience in delivery.
